MusicConnect

 

MusicConnect is a great way to use two iOS devices to create your own home media system, controllable from anywhere in your home! Think of the Apple Remote between iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches and that is what you are getting!

 

 

Never again will you need to squint down over a small screen when your iPod Touch or iPhone is connected to speakers. With MusicConnect you can control the music playback on an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad from anywhere in your house with another device, so long as the devices are connected to the same wifi or bluetooth network!

If you have an old iOS device lying about, this could be the perfect use for it! Transform it into your very own home media system, and change the music, search through songs, albums and artists, and create your very own playlist from anywhere within your house at your leisure!

 

You can surf through your music easily, choosing items to play now or you can also queue them up, creating a playlist of your own on the fly! You can also choose to play, shuffle or queue whole albums and artists too.

 

What you need:
-Two iOS devices (of any generation!); from the latest iPhone to the first generation iPod Touch, they all work great together!

-A home wifi network that both devices are connected to (OR you can use bluetooth to connect the devices- this will not work on first generation iPod Touch or iPhone)

-Something to listen to the music with; i.e. speakers/hi-fi which the playing device is connected to (or you can let the music play using the device's speakers)

Open MusicConnect on both devices, choose "Player" on one and "Controller" on the other, connect them together and get listening!
